Compact and articulated extraction arms

Compact and articulated extraction armsPreston-based Nederman Ltd (www.nederman.co.uk) has launched its range of FX2 articulated extraction arms for the capture and removal of small volumes of gas, dust and fumes within a limited area.

These compact extraction arms are designed to capture pollutants as close to their source as possible.

According to the company, a high capture rate is supported by low noise levels (around 5dB less than competitors’ extraction arms) and improved energy efficiency. With regard to the latter, this is achieved through improved air flow with less pressure loss, allowing smaller fans that consume less energy to be used.

Stable positioning and good manoeuvrability are achieved via the two outermost arm joints being able to rotate 360deg, making it possible to position the hood exactly where required. Once positioned, the hood can be locked in place, using two friction devices in the arm joints.

Three different FX2 models are available; these can be mounted on ceilings, walls and floors — or even fixed to work-tops.
