Ilkeston-based RA Labone (www.ralabone.co.uk), a manufacturer of plastic injection mouldings, is in the process of expanding its site to make space for up to six new moulding machines.

The company has numerous blue-chip customers world-wide, primarily in the automotive, medical and electrical equipment sectors.

Account manager Will Selwood said: “We have got two main manufacturing units on our site, and a new warehouse
will support the materials for both of them The current stores area will become an extension to the existing mould shop.”

Labone currently has 24 moulding machines on site, ranging from six to 150 tonnes and including horizontal, vertical and rotary types. It plans to install an Engel 220T towards the end of 2017 to support a new contract that it has been awarded.
