Lancashire-based Metflex (
www.metflex.co.uk) has been acquired by global technology group Freudenberg (
www.freudenberg.com) and will become part of its international Sealing Technologies division.
Founded in 1919 and based at Great Harwood (near Blackburn), Metflex manufactures precision moulded components, rubber seals and diaphragms for a global multi-industry customer base.
Its service ranges from material development and concept planning through to tool prototyping and manufacture, so it can offer fully bespoke products for diverse applications.
Freudenberg — headquartered in Weinheim, South West Germany — was founded in 1849 and operates on a global scale in numerous markets.
Its Sealing Technologies division develops products for customers in a wide variety of industry sectors, including automotive, civil aviation, machine building, ship construction, food and pharmaceuticals.
