The Hirt-Line range of stainless-steel adjustable and lockable coolant hoses and nozzles has been extended with the introduction of the new Type-0 3.18mm-diameter series.
Available in the UK from Baldock-based Floyd Automatic Tooling Ltd (
www.floydautomatic.co.uk), the smaller Type-0 hoses are suitable for intricate machining processes on sliding-head turning centres and machine tools with limited work envelopes.
The corrosion-resistant Hirt-Line hoses are also designed to withstand heat and chemicals.
Each hose can be easily screwed together by hand and lengthened or shortened to meet requirements.
According to Floyd Automatic, the adaptable system is robust and rigid, so no level of coolant pressure or machine vibration will change the position of the hoses.
Hirt-Line hoses accommodate pressures up to 100 bar, while universal adapters allow their use on lathes, machining centres and grinding centres, delivering fluid or air to the required area.
