Aircraft and aero-engine deliveries in August were the second-highest on record, with a total of 114 aircraft passed to customers.
The total number of aircraft delivered in the first eight months of the year was 885, bringing business worth up to £17 billion for UK companies.
These aircraft comprised 644 single-aisle aircraft and 241 wide-body types. The backlog of commercial aircraft on order now stands at 13,425, worth an estimated £210 billion to the UK.
Orders for wide-body aircraft are up 24% this year compared to the first eight months of 2016.
