Mazak to bring taste of EMO to UK customers Yamazaki Mazak is holding its EMO Encore Open House at its European Technology Centre in Worcester, 14-17 November.

This will give UK machine users the opportunity to see first-hand the latest technology debuted in Hannover, have a guided tour of the company’s European manufacturing plant, and gain insight to the capabilities of Mazak’s iSmart Factory concept.

In all, there will be 20 machines on display, 11 of which were on the group’s stand at EMO.

One machine taking centre stage will be the Integrex i-500, which was developed in response to requests from the European market for an Integrex machine with a bigger work envelope.

It features increased X- and Y-axis capacity and a large machining envelope, allowing it to machine long complex workpieces. Also featured are a 24kW 12,000rev/min milling spindle and a 37kW 2,500rev/min main spindle.

Also on display will be: a Variaxis i-300 AWC, a compact high-performance five-axis machining centre with automation that was developed for high-mix low-volume production; and an HCR-5000S five-axis horizontal machining centre with a 500kg-capacity pallet, ultra-fast acceleration and a high jerk rate, as well as a high-performance main spindle.

Alan Mucklow, managing director UK and Ireland (sales division), said: “EMO is without a doubt the stand-out event in the European machine tool calendar.

"However, while it offers a fantastic platform to launch new machining technology, and to network with a great number of UK and international customers, we’re well aware that not everyone can take the time out of their busy schedules to attend. This is what the EMO Encore Open House is for.”

Machine users interested in attending the Open House event can register at the Web site(www.mazakeu.co.uk/emoencore).
