With immediate effect, Kenilworth-based Whitehouse Machine Tools Ltd (
www.wmtcnc.com) has been appointed as the UK and Ireland agent for vertical- and horizontal-spindle machining centres from Toyoda Machinery Europe GmbH, which is based in Krefeld, Germany.
A spokesperson for Toyoda said: “We decided to award the agency to Whitehouse Machine Tools partly due to the high level of service it can provide.
“The agent also has a strong applications engineering capability, which is important to us. The gear-skiving process on Toyoda machining centres, for instance, is a good example of a technology that requires a high level ofengineering support.”
Tim Whitehouse, managing director of Whitehouse Machine Tools, added: “The Toyoda range includes machining centres with pallet sizes up to 1,600mm and extensive automation options.
“It sits neatly alongside our Japanese-built Brother 30-taper turret machines and mid-capacity machining centres from Spinner in Germany and Averex in Taiwan.”
