Navantia assembles first jacket foundation

Spain-based Navantia (
www.navantia.es) has assembled the first jacket foundation for Scottish Power Renewables’ 714MW East Anglia 1 offshore wind farm.
The company will fabricate 42 jackets for the project at its Fene shipyard in north-western Spain by late 2018, and the first Siemens 7MW turbines are due to be installed at East Anglia 1 in the summer of 2019.
