Sheffield-based WNT (UK) Ltd (www.wnt.com) has announced extensions to both its Mastertool and Standard series of solid-carbide milling cutters.

The WNT Mastertool range — the company’s premium-quality cutters — includes the CircularLine for trochoidal milling; key benefits are extended tool engagement and consistent chip thickness.

Added to the range is the CircularLine CCR-UNI for universal trochoidal milling as a 4xD end mill and a 3xD end mill with a shorter chip breaker to help maximise chip evacuation.

Now included in WNT’s BlueLine range, which has been developed for hard machining (up to 65HRc), are micro end mills and ball-nosed end mills in diameters from 0.2 to 3.0mm.

Meanwhile, the company’s range of HPC end mills — part of WNT’s Standard series of end mills and ball-nosed end mills — has been extended to offer a wider choice of diameter/length combinations and to introduce cutters with specific corner radii.

They are for machining steel and stainless-steel workpieces.
