French automotive manufacturer Groupe PSA (
www.groupe-psa.com) said it will start production of the Citroen Jumpy and Peugeot Expert light commercial vehicles at the Kaluga plant in Russia next year.
They will join the company’s line-up of cars that are produced in Russia; these include the Citroen C4 and the new Peugeot 408, which are among the best-selling models in Russia and are said to represent about 40% of Groupe PSA’s sales in the country.
The company has also signed a joint-venture agreement with partners in Algeria (including Condor Electronics, Palpa Pro and Entreprise Nationale de Production de Machines-Outils) to produce vehicles for the Algerian market.
