GE Additive opens Experience Centre in MunichGE Additive (www.ge.com) has officially opened its first international Customer Experience Centre in Munich.

Co-located with GE’s European Technology Centre, this new facility will allow customers to experience every aspect of the additive-manufacturing process — from design to prototyping to operations.

It will employ up to 50 people, including technicians and engineers specialising in additive design and production; there are 10 additive-manufacturing machines from Germany’s Concept Laser and Sweden’s Arcam EBM.

Hands-on training and instruction will be available, covering additive-manufacturing design, machine operation and support.

All customers are welcome to visit the centre to collaborate with the local team on additive design, process development, prototyping and industrialising their additive operations.

GE Additive opened the first US-based Customer Experience Centre in Pittsburgh in May 2017. Munich is now the first international centre — with others planned world-wide to boost the use of additive manufacturing in different regions.
