Following two record-breaking years and another successful series of Open Days at its UK regional showrooms, XYZ Machine Tools Ltd
(xyzmachinetools.com), reports that demand for its CNC/manual and full-CNC machines is such that sales of ex-demo machines have already cleared the company’s showrooms in Waltham Abbey (London) and Blackburn.
This is allowing the company to implement a rolling refurbishment and re-stocking programme with the next Open Days event scheduled for 21-22 November at the Nuneaton showroom and demonstration facility. The final 2012 event is pencilled in for XYZ’s Devon headquarters, with 23-24 January 2013 confirmed for the Sheffield showroom (to be
co-hosted by cutting-tool specialist WNT).
Managing director Nigel Atherton says: “Floor space within XYZ is at a premium as a result of the increasing level of orders. Even though three quarters of the machines currently in stock have been sold, we will need even more room for the new machines required to meet the growing demand. The good news is that we now have planning permission to add 18,000ft
2 to the 60,000ft
2 main factory and administration centre in Burlescombe.
Building work, including landscaping, should be completed by mid-2013, creating 15 new shopfloor bays and allowing the loading bay to be re-sited to a more convenient location at the far end of the extended building.”
