Budget airline expands at LutonBudget airline Wizz Air (www.wizzair.com) is to base more aircraft at Luton Airport, as it adds more flights to Bucharest and Kiev.

The airline will now have a total of eight Airbus A321 aircraft, and it will create 42 new jobs.

It carried more than 5.5 million passengers on its Luton routes in 2017, an increase of 11% on 2016.

Chief corporate officer Owain Jones said: “Wizz Air’s operations at London Luton continue to go from strength to strength. As the second largest-operator at the airport, Wizz’s continued investment underlines our commitment to the UK market.

“We are continuing to create more local jobs at our London Luton base and offer the opportunity to develop a career in aviation with one of Europe’s fastest-growing and most dynamic airlines.
