Luton-based Border Engineering (
www.borderengineering.co.uk) , which specialises in prototype and production sheet-metal engineering, has almost doubled its space and plans to take on new staff after moving from Morton Industrial Park to Scott Road Industrial Estate and agreeing a 20-year lease on a 14,000ft
2 semi-industrial unit.
Production and sales director Stirling Beer said he was pleased that the business can stay in Luton. “It is a relief to find a unit that is big enough to enable us to grow in the short and medium term.
“We have 23 staff now, and the aim is to create several more skilled and semi-skilled roles over the next few months.”
