The Unibase-M range of tool-dispensing systems (for the storage and management of tools, components and accessories) has been unveiled by Rugby-based Mapal Ltd (www.mapal.com).

With a focus on ease of use, the new system can be configured to customer requirements.

Part of the new range is the Unibase-V expandable cabinet for large and/or heavy tools; this has up to four automatically opening and electronically lockable vertical drawers with a maximum load-bearing capacity of 600kg. Each drawer is equipped with customer-specific tool-holders.

The new Unibase-C cabinets for the controlled dispensing of individual tools complete the range of storage modules. When an item is selected, only its individual compartment opens; this reduces the risk of theft and optimises inventory control.

Mapal has also developed new software for Unibase-M; this connects the tool-dispensing system to existing ERP systems, carries out constant automatic inventory monitoring and offers user-specific evaluation features.

This software can run on tablets, mobile devices and external computers; existing customer systems can be updated to the new software, if required.
