Edinburgh-based compressor manufacturer Vert Rotors (www.vertrotors.com) has released its end of year results, revealing that turnover grew by 197% following strong year-on-year growth.

The company has expanded its precision manufacturing facility in Edinburgh, to increase production of its micro compressors; it has also recruited five new design and manufacturing engineers.

Last year, Vert Rotors’ was granted four patents, to protect the company’s intellectual property and innovation for its software algorithm and the design of its conical compressor; two of these patents were in the USA and two in Europe.

The company’s micro compressor technology has attracted the attention of several international companies, including an air compressor manufacturer, an automotive manufacturer, an oil and gas drilling equipment manufacturer and a space propulsion technology specialist.

Vert Rotors founder and CEO Olly Dmitriev said: “It really has been an outstanding year for the company. It is great to see that its growth has increased year-on-year, and we want to push forward to keep on track for 2018. The whole team has worked incredibly hard to get us to the position we are in today.

“I started this company with a product that was not available on the market, in an industry that had seen little innovation in compressor technology in decades.

“I spotted an opportunity and have never looked back. We shall continue to work hard to revolutionise manufacturing capabilities across a range of industries with our micro compressors.”
