Hyperdrive Innovation, a developer and manufacturer of lithium-ion battery (LIB) technology, has celebrated the 5,000th battery pack coming off its production line in Sunderland.

The company is preparing to double the size of its facility, so that it can produce up to 10,000 packs in 2019.

Hyperdrive was founded in 2012 and established its manufacturing operation in 2015.

Its high-quality battery packs are designed to be robust and flexible, so they can be integrated into a wide range of different products, including construction vehicles, robots, electric cars, off-highway vehicles and autonomous vehicles — plus stationary energy storage (www.hyperdriveinnovation.com).
