A range of machine tools, as well as a host of complementary manufacturing technologies, will be demonstrated on 9 and 10 October at an Open House at the Midlands and South showroom of TW Ward CNC Machinery Ltd (Ward CNC) — in Redditch.

Visitors will not only be able to see a variety of machines under power but also discuss their technical production issues with Ward CNC’s expert applications engineers (and they are invited to bring along sample parts and drawings for investigation).

Visitors to the ‘Redditch Revealed’ event will also be able to meet recently appointed members of Ward CNC’s senior management team, including Stephen Bodsworth (executive director), Dan McGinty (regional business manager, Sheffield and North), Shane Greveson (head of service and operations) and Charlotte Emery (head of customer experience and transformation).

The event will be hosted by managing director Simon Whitworth.

The two-day event at the Meir Road facility will feature a number of machines (all cutting metal) that Ward CNC represents exclusively in the UK and Ireland.

These will include: an Axile G8 five-axis overhead-gantry vertical machining centre; three machines from the Hartford range of vertical machining centres (an HCMC1270/40, a PRO 800 and a PRO 1000); a Takisawa Taiwan FX600 twin-turret twin spindle CNC lathe with Y axis; and seven Hyundai-Wia machines (an F400 vertical machining centre and six lathes ranging from two-axis machines to a twin-turret twin-spindle machine with a Y axis, plus two vertical turning centres).

Alongside these will be ‘showcase exhibits’ from a number of Ward CNC’s manufacturing solutions partners, such as Autodesk (CAD/CAM), Gewefa (tooling), Jemtech (cutting fluids), Kyocera (tooling) and Renishaw (probing).
