Rochdale-based Victor CNC (
www.victorcnc .com) says that its Vturn-26HD has long been a firm favourite among manufacturers wanting a mid-size turning centre offering power, precision and reliability.
This machine is now complemented by the Vturn-S26, which provides a host of new features.
The Vturn-S26 features a substantial single-piece 30deg slant bed designed to allow a large swing diameter and the loading of large billets, while rapid rates of up to 24m/min and high feed forces maximise productivity levels.
Further contributing to the productivity of the new machine is the optional 12-station BMT-65 live-tooling turret (CM version).
This has an indexing time of just 0.8sec and a 4.5kW motor that delivers live tooling speeds up to 4,000rev/min.
The spindle is rated at 22kW (574Nm of torque).
The new Vturn-S26 has an all-up weight of 6,130kg, heavy-duty box ways (64 and 80mm in X and Z respectively), a swing of 600mm (compared to 520mm on previous Vturn-26HD models), and a maximum turning diameter of 430mm (previously 410mm).
Also featured are the latest Fanuc 0iTF CNC with a 10.4in colour-screen display and intuitive Manual Guide i software, hydraulic chuck, programmable tailstock, chip conveyor, hand-wheel, tool-holders, coolant flush on the
Z-axis cover and a three-step warning light.
Options available include a manual or automatic tool pre-setter, part catcher, power chuck, high-pressure coolant, bar-feed interface, automatic access door and tailstock centre.
