Rapid return to profit for BSA ToolsFollowing a change of ownership and the appointment of a new management team in early 2018, Birmingham-based BSA Tools Ltd (www.bsa-tools.co.uk) has reported a strong first six months.

The specialist manufacturer of machine tools has seen a rapid return to profit, with strong demand from customers in the UK and world-wide for its spares, service and maintenance expertise in support of BSA single- and multi-spindle automatic lathes, Herbert capstan and pre-optive lathes, Churchill CNC lathes and Bokö machining centres.

Lee Greensall, spares manager, said: “BSA Tools is a world-renowned name in the machine tool sector, with a long and distinguished history.

"Our new Birmingham-based parent company recognised the potential in such a well-known British engineering brand with its extensive network of machines installed around the world.

"After all, there is no-one better to support the machines installed by BSA over many years than BSA engineers.”

The company remains on its original Mackadown Lane site in Kitts Green, Birmingham, and it has been concentrating on repair, alignment/calibration and preventative maintenance services on both lathes and milling machines.

In addition, it is the UK distributor of a wide range of imported machine tools, including Yunnan and Yanghzou gap-bed centre lathes, Alex Tech CNC Viper lathes and Lilian universal milling machines, Win Ho high-precision lathes and ZMM CNC and universal lathes.
