Roxtec UK reports record year

Roxtec UK reports record year Manchester-based safety seal manufacturer Roxtec UK (www.roxtec.com), has notched up a record 2017/2018 financial year, with its turnover surpassing £6 million for the first time (following three years at £4.8 million).

Managing director Clive Sharp, who has overseen the growth in his first year in charge, said the UK operation has increased its workforce to 20 this year and is benefitting from years of planning, plus increased activity in the rail and power sectors, as well as the maintenance, repair and overhaul market.

He said: “Roxtec UK is performing well in traditional markets such as infrastructure, manufacturing, process industries, nuclear, power, data centres, offshore and oil and gas, but growth has also been stimulated by increased activity in relatively new markets.

"This includes the maritime market, where we supplied Britain’s new polar research vessel — the RRS Sir David Attenborough — and the rail sector, which recently produced the largest single order in Roxtec UK’s history.

“In an effort to stabilise growth and secure more work in key sectors, we have recently made a series of new appointments.

“Four specialists have been hired to focus on the rail, infrastructure, heavy-machinery and nuclear markets.

“These new appointments send a firm message to the marketplace about our desire to continue driving growth.”
