Newbow Aerospace to invest in new facilityWorcestershire-based Newbow Aerospace, which designs and manufactures a wide range of aircraft ground support equipment for the commercial and defence aviation industries, is building a new manufacturing facility next to its existing base in Redditch.

This will see the company’s production capacity double (www.newbowaerospace.com), lead to a 30% increase in staff numbers and enable significant new product development

The new facility will accommodate a larger “oxygen clean assembly room”, conforming to the latest standards and enabling increased assembly, testing and throughput of gaseous charging systems and components.

In addition, there will be a larger calibration laboratory — for the calibration, re-calibration and testing of ground support measurement equipment.

Managing director Ron Wilson said: “We are delighted to announce this significant expansion, which will underpin the company’s desire to be the preferred supplier in innovative and industry-leading ground support equipment, continuing the success of our 50-year history.

“This expansion will secure the future growth of the business, contribute to local employment and allow us to better support our global customer portfolio by adding new product lines and offering more-efficient lead times.”
