Ceratizit Group will be presenting cutting-tool solutions for the aerospace industry at the
53rd International Air Show in Paris le Bourget (17-23 June), under the banner Team Cutting Tools and encompassing tooling from Ceratizit, Komet, WNT and Klenk (
www.ceratizit.com).
With the recent integration of German precision tool manufacturer Komet, the Ceratizit Group now employs more than 9,000 people world-wide. Meanwhile, Klenk tooling solutions are primarily focused on the aerospace sector, and the brand is well known within this industry — particularly for the machining of materials such as carbon fibre, titanium, aluminium and steel.
One of these solutions is MaxiMill211–K. Designed for aerospace milling applications, it features inserts and geometry that create a clean cut and permits high cutting rates, while maintaining cutter stability.
Ceratizit Group will also be highlighting the benefits of its insert grade CTC5240 when machining titanium.
Based on a fine-grained carbide, CTC5240 features a hard-wearing CVD coating that allows it to machine highly abrasive materials — even with cutting speeds up to 60m/min.
