Northern Manufacturing & Electronics returnsNorthern Manufacturing & Electronics returns to Manchester’s Event City on 2-3 October.

Following a similar format to the Southern Manufacturing Show, which took place in Farnborough in February, it will feature a broad spectrum of components, production hardware and engineering services; it is aimed at designers, procurement professionals and engineers from across the North.

The previous show (in 2017) attracted more than 3,000 visitors from a wide range of industries.

Over 250 companies are expected to take part this year, ranging from major global brands to highly skilled local engineering firms with specialist knowledge in areas such as automotive, aerospace and process engineering.

For the first time this year, the event is being supported by the North West Aerospace Alliance (NWAA) and the Northern Automotive Alliance (NAA), plus several other national organisations, such as Composites UK, the SMMT, the GTMA, the BGA and the CBM.

Each brings an abundance of industry knowledge and experience to the event, and knowledge-sharing opportunities will be channelled through the show’s free technical-seminar programme.

Visitors to Northern Manufacturing & Electronics will also have the opportunity to see live demonstrations, including five-axis machining and 3-D printing.

National industry names returning for 2019 include XYZ Machine Tools, Haas Automation, Laser Lines, Tri-tech 3D and HPC Laser, while other top suppliers include Dynamic Machine Tools and Makrep EDM Solutions.

Entry to the show is free, and there is free on-site parking for 3,000 cars.

Event City has easy access from the motorway network and is very accessible by public transport from central Manchester.
