APT Leicester, a manufacturer of mill turned parts and CNC machined components is committed to prioritising environmental sustainability in its CNC manufacturing practices and as part of the company’s ongoing efforts, it has recently integrated a new industrial aqueous cleaning system into its operations.
The company has replaced its previous solvent-based cleaning system for industrial turned parts with a
MecWash MWX300 aqueous cleaning machine which is much kinder to the environment as it employs water-based solutions rather than solvents, significantly reducing air pollution and minimising the carbon footprint of the process.
The MWX300 combines ultrasonics with high-flow washing and advanced cleaning technologies to deliver exceptional precision and quality. It ensures thorough removal of contaminants, such as oils, greases, and particles, from APT’s CNC-machined parts, maintaining the highest standards and minimising waste.
Water scarcity is a growing concern worldwide. To address this issue, the MecWash machine is coupled with an Aqua Save wash water recycling unit. This innovative system captures, filters, and recirculates the cleaning water, significantly reducing its water consumption and preserving this precious resource.
By adopting this aqueous cleaning system, APT Leicester has taken a significant step towards sustainable CNC manufacturing. The machine’s efficient cleaning cycle, combined with water recycling capabilities, reduces the company’s reliance on single-use resources and supports a circular economy approach.
