Working in field of CNC automation and based in Turkey, Tezmaksan Robot Technologies has announced its collaboration with EMAG, a German manufacturer of CNC machine tools. The two companies have already undertaken their first joint venture and have two more projects in the pipeline. The maiden venture was completed in May this year and involved the implementation of 10 production lines at the KamLitKZ factory in Kazakhstan.

This facility specialises in manufacturing brake systems for commercial vehicles in the automotive sector, the aim of the project being to significantly increase capacity and enhance operational efficiency. Central to this automation solution were EMAG VSC400 DUO and Klingelnberg C50 machines, along with 10 industrial robots, including nine units with a payload capacity of 150kg each and one offering a 280kg capacity.

These robots handle workpieces that are initially stored in baskets and subsequently placed into the relevant fixtures. Following machining, the components undergo a thorough cleaning process and are then returned to the baskets as finished products; and because quality control is paramount in this automated production process, finished parts are transported to the SPC (statistical process control) station at predetermined intervals.

The success of our first venture has led to a long-term understanding, and preliminary studies are underway for two additional ventures, including the EMAG Mexico project and the EMAG/CubeBOX project.
