AFM to promote Glorystar fibre lasers at MACH 2024Cramlington-based AFM Europe Ltd, a distributor of high-quality metal forming and cutting machinery in the UK, supplies both new and refurbished machinery to customers in the sheet metal industry. Established in 1975, the company is the sole UK distributor for Ermaksan Machinery and is fully equipped to give strong product advice and offers excellent after-sales support.

The company will be showcasing two Glorystar fibre lasers along with Pearson 4+1 press brake at MACH 2024 (Hall 17, Stand 130), taking place 15-19 April, at the NEC, Birmingham.

The Glorystar GS-C 3015 is described as a small fibre laser cutting machine designed for the cutting of thin sheet metal. It has a working area of 1,500 x 3,015mm, and is available with a fibre laser power source of 1,000 watts, 1,500 watts, 2,000 watts, or 3,000 watts. The machine is designed to be space-saving and cost-effective and easy use.

Meanwhile, the Glorystar GS6022TG is a fibre laser tube-cutting machine designed for processing a variety of metal tubes and profiles. It features a three-chuck system for stable and accurate feeding of tubes, high-precision cutting with minimal kerf width; a fully enclosed cutting chamber for operator safety and fume extraction; and an automatic focus control for consistent cutting quality on materials of varying thicknesses.

Completing the line-up will be a Pearson 4+1 CNC press brake — a machine tool used for bending sheet metal. The machine is controlled by CNC system which allows the operator to program the bend sequences for each part, ensuring accuracy and repeatability. The bending force is applied by a hydraulic ram and the machine is supplied with a back gauge and punch and die tooling.
