T W Ward CNC Machinery Ltd will be highlighting its large portfolio of CNC machine tools and manufacturing solutions at MACH 2024 (Hall 20, Stand 474), taking place 15-19 April at the NEC, Birmingham, which includes an extensive range of turning centres, machining centres, portal/gantry milling machines, and everything else in between.

Ward CNC, which was established over 140 years ago, is the exclusive supplier in the UK and Ireland for some of the world’s leading CNC machine tool manufacturers, including Hyundai-Wia, Hartford, Soraluce, Takisawa Japan, Takisawa Taiwan, Hankook, Gurutzpe and Ronchini.

In addition, Ward CNC supplies used and reconditioned machine tools, carrying carefully selected stocks of high-quality boring machines, turning machines and machining centres.

The Ward CNC team will be on hand at MACH 2024 to discuss visitors‘ machine tool requirements, from machine supply to its comprehensive after-sales and machine service which encompasses installation, machine service, customer training, technical support and spare parts delivery.

Visitors to the show will also be able to see a live cutting demonstration on a Hyundai-Wia HD3100YA Y-axis CNC lathe, on tooling supplier and partner Vargus Tooling UK Ltd’s stand (Hall 20, Stand 359). The lathe is equipped with hardened and ground box guideways, plus a one-piece heavy-duty cast-iron bed construction for high accuracy and rigidity.

The machine also features a BMT65P turret, Y-axis, C-axis and driven tooling and 10in chuck. With a maximum turning length of 760mm and swing over the bed of 800mm, the machine is equipped with a 12-station automatic tool changer (ATC), while its A2-8 spindle nose offers 3,500rev/min, plus 5,000rev/min live tooling speed, with a Fanuc 0IT 15in monitor CNC.

Utilising the high-quality range of Vargus’ cutting tools, the demonstration will encompass a spectrum of machining techniques, including waved form grooving, Y-axis milling, and C-axis Polar milling, all performed with efficiency and accuracy on the HD3100YA.

Visitors will will observe the intricate precision of spline milling with live tool gear mill, demonstrating the advanced capabilities of modern machining technology and its potential in manufacturing.
