Guhring — the manufacturer of precision tools for a range of industry sectors, including aerospace, automotive, medical and engineering — is to build a new 50,000 sq. ft. headquarters in Birmingham to meet continuing “strong” growth, both home and abroad.
The company currently employs 76 people at its Castle Bromwich Business Park base; it has a world-wide workforce of around 6,000.
Yvonne Clune, finance and IT manager, said: “The engineering sector in general has seen a strong lift over the past year, and that has helped to cement our growth. We are at the cutting edge of manufacturing, and we supply a range of sectors, which has led to the need for expansion.
"That is why we are developing plans to build our own HQ for the UK here in the West Midlands, which is at the heart of manufacturing and engineering in this country.”
