Advance International — the manufacturer of lighting equipment — has moved its head office, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution onto one site at Hilton Business Park in Derby.

The company, which currently has 34 members of staff, relocated from historic office and warehouse facilities in Melbourne. The move has increased its floor space from 27,883sq ft to a total of 72,550 sq ft.

Managing director Simon Deacon said that the new facility allows space for further growth, including more jobs. “The company has grown rapidly in the last five years. We are excited by what this means for our company, our staff, our new neighbours and our shared future.”

The 15-year-old company, which specialises in bespoke lighting for retail, point-of-sale, refrigeration and transport, also sells general lighting products through its on-line store.
