An agreement signed by Qatar Solar Energy (QSE) CEO Salim Abassi and Kazatomprom chairman Azat Betekbaev will provide QSE with solar-grade silicon at a competitive price for the next 10 years.

The deal will contribute to QSE’s growth (it has solar-power purchase agreements with Kazakhstan), and help to put the company in a position to export more solar-energy products.

Mr Abassi said: “The steady supply of high-quality raw material is crucial to Qatar Solar Energy’s mission to deliver low-cost and affordable renewable energy.”
