Optel Vision — a Canadian company that specialises in designing manufacturing solutions for production lines — will be opening a new operations centre at Raheen business park in Limerick, creating 140 jobs; this will be the company’s first engineering plant outside North America.

Optel Vision specialises in packaging-line inspection and control systems for the pharmaceutical, medical-device and chemical industries.

Jobs will be created over three years in engineering, design, assembly, testing, customer support, sales, HR, finance and administration.
