Impregnation Services Ltd (ISL), which specialises in the impregnation of porous castings and other ferrous and non-ferrous materials, is celebrating its first 50 years.
The company (
www.impregnation.co.uk) was established in Stalybridge in 1964 by BS Matthews; it was purchased by the current owners — Justin and Rachael Benson — in 2008 and is now based in Ashton-under-Lyne.
Mr Benson says: “Our strong and continuous growth pattern results from an ardent philosophy of providing consistently reliable impregnation services, coupled with a dedication to after-sales support. By listening to and working closely with our customers, we are able to continuously refine and evolve our service and our quality systems. Our modern impregnation resins — coupled with ‘state of the art’ processes — offer the best-ever solution for porosity.”
ISL’s porosity-sealing service is relied upon by foundries, importers and end users of cast metal parts, both for recovery and quality enhancement. The company offers a quick turn-round, with batches of parts processed at short notice — often within 24-36hr. It also specialises in bespoke solutions for sealing porosity in components that do not fit into or respond to conventional batch processing.
