China chosen to construct high speed rail line

China has signed an agreement with the governments of Serbia, Hungary and Mace-donia for the construction of a new high-speed railway between Belgrade and Budapest. The new 200kph line will reduce travel times between the two capital cities from 8hr to 2.5hr.
Speaking after the signing ceremony, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said the railway would be completed within the next two years. Feasibility studies are expected to be carried out by June next year, and the project should be completed by June 2017.
