UCIMU, the association for Italian manufacturers of machine tools and automation systems, reports that its members’ sales were up 19.1% in the fourth quarter of 2014, compared to the fourth quarter of 2013.
Orders from foreign markets rose by 19.3%, while domestic orders rose by 18.8%. The annual orders total showed a 14.7% increase on 2013.
Luigi Galdabini, president of UCIMU, said: “Our latest survey highlights five consecutive quarters of growth.”
