After a long history producing advanced flat-bed lathes, Dean, Smith & Grace (
www.deansmithandgrace.co.uk) is moving to a new R&D and manufacturing facility at the Halifax headquarters of MTTG (Machine Tool Technology Group), its parent company.
Since DS&G became part of MTTG, it has gone from strength to strength, launching three new machines.
Carl Griffiths, group managing director, said: “Dean, Smith & Grace has always had a world-wide reputation for producing advanced, robust and reliable machine tools, but from time to time over the years, it has suffered a lack of investment.
"At MTTG, we saw the potential to take the company forward, so we have invested heavily in these new products and production facilities. While customers still return machines to us for refurbishment after 40 years of constant and productive use, Dean, Smith & Grace engineers will be concentrating on developing and manufacturing, new and advanced machine tools that will once more take the lead for reliability and productivity.”
