To support the increase in manufacturing output in industry sectors that produce complex five-axis components — such as aerospace — the Bicester-based CAD/CAM developer Open Mind Technologies UK Ltd (www.openmind-tech.com) has increased the size of its UK sales team with the appointment of Simon Docker.

An experienced sales engineer, Mr Docker spent some 19 years working with one of the world’s largest CAM companies, latterly as international business development manager.

UK managing director Mr Adrian Smith said: “We are delighted to get a new addition to our team with Simon’s experience and stature. His expertise and understanding of the CAM industry is second to none; as his is record of developing new business opportunities.
