The Rugby-based cutting-tool company Mapal Ltd has appointed Eugene Nugent as its new national sales manager, to support its rapid sales growth — currently 20% year on year (www.mapal.com).

Mr Nugent has more than 25 years’ experience in the cutting-tool industry, starting as an apprentice tool maker at Sandvik in Coventry.

He joined Mapal in 1995, progressing to being an applications engineer, regional sales manager and, most recently, PCD product manager.
