Chester Machine Tools Ltd (
www.chestermachinetools.com), the Cheshire- and Midlands-based supplier of conventional and CNC machinery, is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
Established in 1992 by current managing director Michael O’Hare, the company initially focused on small machines for the hobby market; it has since grown to become a leading provider of milling and drilling machines, vertical machining centres, lathes and turning centres, horizontal and vertical boring machines, surface grinders, bench grinders and sawing equipment.
Operating from expanded head offices in Hawarden, plus a factory and a new showroom in Burntwood (Staffordshire), Chester employs almost 30 people and has an extensive global network of customers in the education, manufacturing, mining and oil and gas sectors.
Looking to the future, Mr O’Hare said: “The past 25 years’ growth and success have been built on the expertise and support of our suppliers, customers and staff. We look forward to serving our customers in the UK and overseas markets over the next quarter of a century with a growing portfolio of high-quality cost-effective machinery.”
As well as its own range of Chester machine tools, the ISO9001-accredited company has grown via acquisitions, which in recent years have included the Kitchen Walker, Scot Urquhart and Uniprize brands.
