Shrewsbury-based DKL Rubber has acquired Medcraft Bryden of Whittlesford, Cambridgeshire, which also specialises in making rubber products for a wide range of industries.
DKL has made high-specification rubber mouldings for almost 30 years; it has been in talks to buy Medcraft Bryden since 2015.
Company director Robert Oakes (pictured left) said: “We had known of Medcraft Bryden for a while and were impressed with the range of services that they offered, believing that these would be a good fit with the work we already carried out at DKL.”
The combined group’s existing sites will be retained, and two additional staff have been taken on in Shropshire.
