WT Parker (
www.wtparker.co.uk), a Burton on Trent engineering company, has been acquired by Scottish group Edwin James Holdings (EJH).
This will expand EJH’s geographical footprint, while taking its combined revenues to about £110 million and its workforce to around 1,000. It is backed by private-equity house Aliter.
Founded in 1922, WT Parker provides mechanical, electrical and process-engineering services and has an established base of blue-chip customers.
It has expertise in providing engineering support to both the public and private sectors, particularly in the manufacturing, food and retail industries.
Billy Allan, managing partner of Aliter, said: “The acquisitions of WT Parker and EJH are the first steps in our plan to create a national technical services business, and we have identified a number of additional businesses to bring complementary capabilities to this platform, as we move forward.”
