Big Kaiser has launched the Level Master — a portable two-axis electronic-levelling tool for fast and precise machine set-up.
It is available in the UK from Tamworth-based Industrial Tooling Corporation Ltd (
www.itc-ltd.co.uk).
Designed to simultaneously detect the level on both horizontal axes, the system cuts the time and costs associated with the traditional bubble-levelling method, which requires two levellers to be used side by side.
In contrast, Level Master shows inclination via easy-to-read colour LEDs, with a buzzer indicating when the horizontal plane is level.
The Level Master uses optical-sensor technology to give a setting precision of 0.01mm/m inclination, although a mode with an accuracy of 0.1mm/m is also available for rough alignment.
Big Kaiser says that the Level Master is substantially cheaper than a laser leveller and more portable (it weighs 985gm); it can be set up in a few seconds.
A self-calibration feature enables the customer to calibrate on-site, which further adds to the appeal of the device, as it saves both time and money.
The Level Master can operate in temperatures from 0 to 40°C. It has a nominal battery life of 50hr, using four AAA batteries.
