Leeds-based Kloeckner Metals UK (www.kloecknermetalsuk.com) is set to expand its capacity by adding an Adige LT14 Jumbo to its laser cutting portfolio. This will make Kloeckner one of the few businesses in the UK capable of processing parts up to 355mm in diameter and weighing up to 100kg/m.

In addition to processing hollow-section tubes, it can also process large beams, columns, split tees, angles and channels.

The Jumbo has a 4.5kW Rofin CO₂ laser that can cut 20mm-thick mild steel and weld-prep 16mm-thick mild steel up to 45deg. It can load and unload tube up to 15.5m long.

It features a touch-screen interface and an operating system that is up to 30% faster and uses the latest Artube 3 CAD software.
