Burnley-based FDM Digital Solutions has invested in an additive-manufacturing machine, which it says will revolutionise the way components are manufactured, saving time, money and resources.

The HP Multi Jet Fusion will be used to produce low-volume parts that would traditionally be manufactured by silicon/RIM tooling or even low-volume injection moulding.

FDM (www.fdmdigitalsolutions.co.uk) plans to target the aerospace, automotive, F1 and consumer packaging sectors.
