Cambridgeshire-based Titan Motorsport and Automotive Engineering (
www.titan.uk.net), a supplier of high-performance engine components, has won the Ricardo Supplier of the Year award in recognition of its 100% on-time and in-full delivery performance throughout 2017.
With Shoreham-based Ricardo’s recently expanded production running at record levels — the equivalent annual output of 5,000 high-performance engines — component quality is paramount, and the company needs a solid supply chain with the same on performance, quality and delivery.
Ricardo’s (
www.ricardo.com) engine-manufacturing business has a supply chain that comprises over 85 suppliers across three continents.
It hosted supply chain workshops last year to disseminate best practice, and it has now established the Ricardo Supplier of the Year award, for the partner that has provided the highest quality of service.
The award was presented to Titan managing director George Lendrum by Steve Milton, Ricardo head of engine operations, who said: “A robust and high-quality supply chain is essential for a successful performance product manufacturing operation.
"For this reason, we spend significant time and effort in developing our multi-national supply chain, to ensure that Ricardo can remain the supplier of choice for performance and premium vehicle engines.
“Among some of the world’s best suppliers, we were pleased to be able to recognise the contribution of Titan with our 2017 Supplier of the Year award.”
