Barcode Warehouse chooses Laser Lines as technology solution providerBanbury-based Laser Lines, a leading UK supplier of industrial and scientific lasers, accessories and 3-D printers, has been chosen to supply a range of lasers into the Barcode Warehouse’s manufacturing and healthcare solutions labs in its ‘state of the art’ Innovation and Customer Experience (ICE) Centre in Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire.

The Barcode Warehouse is a provider of barcode technology, RFID (radio frequency identification), labelling and enterprise mobility solutions, and works with many leading manufacturers and developers including Android, Samsung, Zebra, Honeywell, Toshiba, Epson, Datalogic and Panasonic.

Laser Lines will be installing its entry-level laser marking system, a Lasermarkprimary with a Datalogic Ulyxe marker (pictured) into Newton House, the 25,000ft2 purpose-designed facility. The laser solution will be used in engaging, immersive experiences, enabling visitors to see solutions in action first-hand, helping them to understand how new technologies can solve their business challenges, increase their productivity, and gain more control over their technology estates.

Great technology solution

Kevan Mutton, managing director at the Barcode Warehouse, said: “The Innovation and Customer Experience Centre will demonstrate the company’s capabilities as a leader in curated technology solutions for business in the 21st century. It will be a hub for understanding our customers’ current and future problems, and designing new and innovative solutions.

“Visitors will be able to imagine and test the possibilities within business, supported by our solutions architects who will bring together, conceptualise, and develop tailor-made solutions that are the most appropriate for a customer’s business from the very best hardware and software available on the market.”

Lasermarkprimary can be installed with a variety of lasers from Laser Lines’ DPSS and fibre ranges. Featuring a manual Z-height adjustment, interlocking door, laser safety glass and options for fan or extraction-based air removal.

Josh Cherry, technical sales engineer in the Industrial Lasers Group at Laser Lines, said: “We are delighted to have been able to install our solution into ICE. It is a fantastic facility that will enable customers to see how the technology can solve their specific challenges — almost in a production environment.

Being able to share our experience in manufacturing and healthcare with solutions for traceability and marking can change the way people think about processes and the products they work with. We are looking forward to collaborating with The Barcode Warehouse and its customers further.”

ICE has been designed for customers and partners to hold meetings and events, with a café, auditorium, various types of work and break out spaces, ample technology, interactive meeting and training rooms and relaxation and concentration areas.
