Following on from a highly successful UK debut of the Kafo machine tool range at MACH 2014, Rugby-based TDT Technology Ltd (www.tdt-technology.co.uk) — well known for its range of LCM rotary tables and other machine tool accessories — has signed an agreement to represent the full range of Kafo equipment as the exclusive sales and service centre for the UK and Ireland.

TDT — supported by senior personnel from the Kao Fong factory in Taiwan — exhibited the compact KA-40 VMC at the show, which was a resounding success according to managing director Simon Hewson: “We were overwhelmed by the response to the Kafo range from visitors to MACH 2014; we also had many serious enquiries for the manufacturer’s large high-technology machining centres. This level of interest confirmed our opinion that the quality, specification and price of Kafo machines make them an attractive proposition for UK engineering companies, and we are delighted to have concluded this agreement.”

To support TDT’s plans for the UK market, the company has appointed Gus Hallinan as UK sales manager. He has an extensive track record in machine tools and capital equipment, as well as experience of bringing new products to the UK market.
