Following the successful introduction of its high-pressure Cubitron II cloth belt 984F, 3M (www.3M.co.uk/abrasives) has launched a new abrasive belt for medium- to low-pressure applications; and like its predecessor, this belt incorporates the company’s PSG (precision-shaped grain) technology.

Tests show that the new 947A belt can deliver up to three-times the life and twice the cut rate of conventional ceramic belts. Furthermore, the new 120+ grade offers an improved solution for fine finishing.
