Sigma Technologies acquired by Altec

Altec Engineering (
www.alteceng.co.uk) — based in Bowburn, County Durham — has acquired Shipley-based Sigma Technologies Ltd (
www.sigmatechnologies.co.uk).
The latter undertakes high-volume CNC component manufacture for a wide variety of customers.
Altec’s managing director, David Steel, says: “Sigma’s innovative approach to managing the supply chain on behalf of customers, coupled with Altec’s capabilities in high-precision manufacturing and special-purpose machine design and build, gives Altec a significant competitive advantage.”
