SJ AB — a government-owned passenger train operator in Sweden — has signed a new contract with EuroMaint Rail AB for the reprocessing of bogies for its passenger carriages and X2000 vehicles.
The new contract comes into force on 1 March 2016 and ensures the continuation of the current one; it gives EuroMaint responsibilities that extend from revision to corrective maintenance.
The work will take place at EuroMaint’s facility in Örebro, Sweden, which has been upgraded to bring all operations under one roof and ensure that it can handle this larger contract.
Björn Holmberg, chief purchasing officer at SJ AB, said: “EuroMaint has extensive experience and meets our high requirements for availability, reliability and punctuality. We see several advantages to continuing our collaboration with EuroMaint.”
